This application is for new bands who have not been part of Heavycore before.  Please note . . . you MUST fill out the entire application including the section on streaming audio.  If you do not have streaming audio online - then you'll have to submit a cd/tape to:  Heavycore, PO Box 4324, Bloomington IL  61702.  You can still fill the application out, but put "sending cd/tape" in the comments section at the end so we know to hold it for your package.  We don't want to download songs, so streaming is the way to go.

SO WHAT DO YOU GET WITH YOUR MEMBERSHIP?  I thought you'd never ask!  Click here to find out all the details on what being a card carrying Heavycore member is all about and the incredible list of things that our organization will do for you to help spread your message.  Brothers helping brothers is the way we do things around here.  We wouldn't have it any other way!  Read comments from other bands!

Please note that for all the great things we offer, we now have a small annual membership fee for bands.  This is to help us pay the bills around here and offer more services to our membership.  Our website gets approximately 50,000 hits per month and so it's a great way to advertise and network with other brethren.  The membership fee can be paid in one of the two following ways:

1.  You pay $10 to Heavycore - this gives you a free posting on our site with a link to your website, contact email, city/state/country, and style of metal.  You also get up to 4 membership cards for free!  A sample card is in the photo above - they're laminated and hand signed by Pete Altieri on the back in red to prove its authenticity! You can purchase additional cards if you need them for only $1 each.  Being a card carrying Heavycore member means that you enjoy 10% off our merchandise.

2.  You purchase $15 or more of Heavycore merchandise.  You can pick up a t-shirt and a compilation cd, or three compilation cds, or a hoodie, or two skull caps.  There are all kinds of combinations . . . you pick the gear.  With option #2, you can pick up membership cards for each band member for only $1 a piece.

3.  In some special hardship cases, Heavycore reserves the right to waive the membership fee if a band is willing to work to help the Core.  Meaning, pass flyers out at shows, gather good contact information for our data base, and that kind of thing.  Obviously, it will be difficult to monitor something like this, and paying the membership fee (or buying gear) helps our cause.  We kept the fee low so that most bands could scrape up a measly $10 per year to be a part of a great organization.

You will not be asked to pay for membership or buy any gear unless we ok your application.  Remember that to be in Heavycore means you play balls out metal - no poser bullshit is allowed.  We like all kinds of good metal - death, thrash, speed, hardcore, grindcore, black, stoner, and even new metal that's NOT GAY.  We do not want any white supremacist bands either . . . go somewhere else.  

So join up with us and email us your application.  You'll hear from us either way in a week or less.  If you submit sounds by snail mail, expect closer to two weeks response time.  We get nearly a dozen bands applying each day and it's tough to keep up!  Thanks for your interest in Heavycore, we hope to call you our brother in metal soon!

Take your time and make sure you spell things correctly . . . we will not sell any of this information to anyone.  We keep it for our internal records and for posting the vitals on our membership page.
