So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . things are hectic as ever here in the most brutal of all places - the Low Twelve Command Center. Posers continue to weep as we enter our twelfth year of brutalness on the planet. Fuck yeah!
Wes prepares tonight to blast out the final drum tracks for the upcoming Low Twelve monster CD "Splatter Pattern". We'll be throwing down at the V-12 Concussion Chamber in Bloomington Illinois to track the drums with engineer Nathan Kurtz. Much more on that later, plus more on the Poser Roast 24 show coming up this Friday January 15th at the Canopy Club in Urbana IL. I've got links to all the bands playing the show so you can dig some sounds before and know the wickedness that lies ahead at this great show. I'm also going to replay the January Chopping Block Show for anyone who might have missed it last week, or for those who just can't get enough Heavycore love! | POSER ROAST 24 PREVIEW |

| We have been telling you
fuckers about the killer lineup for Poser Roast 24 - so don't puss out
and miss this one! Plus it's at a great venue for live metal - the
Canopy Club in Urbana. If you've never seen a show here, you
really should come by and check it out. The Canopy Club is a big
place - it used to be a movie theater and now it's a bar/club where
national bands play often. It seats somewhere around 1,000 or so,
maybe more. We opened up for Gwar there a couple years ago and it
was completely packed.
Below are links to the bands playing and their myspace pages, so you can listen to their music, check out some pics, other dates they might have going on - or whatever! Huge thanks again to Brother Dan for setting the show up and we're looking very forward to throwing it down! The show is this coming Friday, so get your ass out and support the cause. We'll be shooting live video of the show for a possible upcoming DVD, so get your ass in the pit and see if you can get your mug on the video! WES POLLOCK TO WRAP UP DRUMS THIS WEEKEND! |

| We started pre-production
drums for Low Twelve's "Splatter Pattern" in January 2009 - one year
ago! It was ballbusting cold then, and tomorrow at 8am when
Wes starts his warm ups, it's going to be wicked cold! In the 12 x
12 foot V-12 Concussion Chamber is where the tracking began and where it
will end as Wes looks to complete the remaining drum tracks along with
engineer Nathan Kurtz. We'll be there in support of Wes and to help out where we can. I find it best to just try and stay out of the way when it comes to drum recording! I'll be busy taking pics and shooting some video of Wes. We're going to document the final day of tracking. I've actually got four mini dv tapes full of "Splatter Pattern" video from all the different sessions in the V-12 in Bloomington IL and at my home Nasty Studios in Heyworth IL. We are talking about possibly putting out a "Making of Splatter Pattern" DVD - but for now we're trying to concentrate on the CD and getting it done. As Wes is mixing down drum tracks and passing them to me, I'm cleaning up the guitars, bass, and vocal tracks to make things tighter than tight. The drums that Wes is getting to me are fucking wicked - and after we met and did some eq on the tracks . . . with some minor adjustments things are really coming together. If you check out "Bodies In My Pocket" then you know what I'm talking about. Of course hearing the mp3 on your computer and hearing the final mastered mix on the finished CD are going to be starkly different. So let the mp3 whet your appetite, but know that the final product along with sick art from Jeff Gaither will probably melt the skin from all exposed skin. So far Wes has given me final drums for "Bodies In My Pocket", "A Hero's Last Stand", and "Mountains of the Dead". He's making great progress on a very tedious process of editing drum tracks. It's very slow and it's got to be right, or things don't sound right. Deciding to recording with a click track was the best call Wes ever made, because the editing process is so much easier this time around. Wes and I are learning all the time on how to best record, and with each new project comes better end results. I think this time around the new "Splatter Pattern" CD is going to get some people's attention! |

some of the more "extreme" photos off the Brutality Report so that
others could enjoy following Low Twelve and Heavycore without having to
