| BRUTAL VOCAL CHORDS UNDER ATTACK! |
|
| Since Tuesday this week . .
. I've had one hell of a sore throat and a serious case of the crud.
I had a flu shot at the VA a couple months back, and this wasn't really
a full-fledged flu, but I was run down, feeling like shit and dealing
with the sore throat all week. At this time, late on Saturday
night doing this report - I'm still very sore to the point that I cannot
talk for more than a few minutes at a time! It's killing me.
Anyway - I did go to the doc and it's not strep, but a viral infection
which there is no medicine for it. So she told me to do what I can
to manage the pain, get some rest and let it work its course.
Good thing this didn't hit me last week - because there is no way I could have done those shows with my throat hurting like this. Thanks to the brutal gods for looking out, but damn those fuckin' posergeists for infecting me with this damn virus! I'll be EXTRA brutal when this shit goes away as I finish up vocals on the last two songs for the upcoming Low Twelve CD "Splatter Pattern" this week. |
| PETE'S PAST COMES BACK IN A WORLD WIDE RE-RELEASE |
|
|
I've mentioned to you all before about my first band - Sacred Oath. I co-founded the band back in 1984 and played bass primarily. I did some vocals, but this band has a real "singer" and so my vocals were more back-up and some minor lead parts. I did always like singing though, which is why I wanted to sing and play bass when I founded Low Twelve in 1998. In 1987 Sacred Oath released "A Crystal Vision" which became a cult classic in the progressive metal movement. Of course at the time we had no idea - and I've never seen a penny from any record sales. It's the typical story - young musicians who got fucked by some lame record company. We actually broke up in 1988 and went our separate ways. The band was re-formed in 1998 when we were asked to re-record "A Crystal Vision" by another label, who wanted to bring the band back. The label flew me to New York in the Spring of 1998 - I hadn't played my bass in 10 years! It was crazy. I had to learn all the songs again and since I lived here in Illinois - there was never any plans of me coming back. They've had 2-3 other bass players jam with them ever since and I've done a couple of CD's via US MAIL and recorded bass tracks here in Illinois. This big label, WorldSound, has now purchased the rights to release all the Sacred Oath CD's. They just re-released the classic "A Crystal Vision" on November 10th. It's really cool - I like the way they laid it all out. If you dig progressive metal with screaming high vocals (ala Rob Halford/Judas Priest) then you'll like this stuff. Here's a link where you can find out more about it and pick up a copy if you like. Below are some scans I made of the cover and inside so you can see me with a full head of hair back when I was 20 or so! What a trip! |

| FINAL SHOWS OF 2009 . . . BRUTAL AS HELL |
|
| We had a great Friday and
Saturday last weekend as we busted out a brutal double header to welcome
Les back to a couple of local area shows. The Friday show was at
Coconut Louie's in Bloomington, which was the place we played in May
that was one of our better shows in recent time. This time the
crowd wasn't as good, but we had a great time just the same.
Trippswitch played first and was a good young band, who was playing their 11th show. They had played a show earlier in the day, so it brought back memories of when Low Twelve had done the same thing - doing two in one day. Those were some brutal fucking times for sure. I shot some video of their set as well. After they got done, local favorites Slavereign Nation put on a good show and tore it up for nearly one hour. It was good to see those guys again. Singer Joe Scholl does one hell of a "Pete" impersonation. It was hilarious to hear him do it over the PA after their show was done. Good stuff. We opened our show up with Mountains of the Dead and pummeled through the rest - Lines Drawn, Splatter Pattern, A Hero's Last Stand, Hand of the Dying, Defiance to the End, Bodies in My Pocket, and Crawlspace. It was great to have Les back on stage and the sound that he and Meister create is simply bludgeoning! Several people commented later - saying that we sounded tight and heavier than ever. Les' sister was in the crowd, and told him after the show that we "sounded like a freight train". A friend of mine who isn't a metal head, came to the show and sent me a text the next day, saying it was "very powerful and tight". Those are things we like to hear! |
Check out some pics that Crazy Mike took during the show:

Of course with Crazy Mike along with us - you know he was scouting out the pussy! He landed a nice one . . . taking a girl into the ladies room for a little photo session. We couldn't believe it when he showed us these hot pics! Hell yeah Crazy Mike!

The next night we took the brutal express to the Metal Church in Stanford for another one! This time it was a bit fucked - the venue double booked and so the show had to start late, and half the bands had to be taken off the bill. We were called a few days prior, and were asked to play with three other bands and try and salvage the show. We didn't want to back out of the show, so we told them we'd do it. It turned out pretty good for such a mess . . . with a decent crowd and of course some kick ass metal from four bands.
First up was As Blood Will Tell - who are a good young band we've jammed with before. You may remember when I had them here in the studio doing the Chopping Block Show with me this past summer. After them a band called the Third Temple threw down and were very big with the crowd. We've played with them before also - and so it was cool to see them all again. Ocularis tore it up nicely right before we went on and burned the fucker down! We played much tighter in this show and it was good to blow that rust off and really get used to having Les back on stage with his stack-o-death. Both he and Meister were ripping the shit up and it sounded really strong on stage. We did the same set as we played the night before - ending it up with Crawlspace. It was a good solid way to end 2009 - which was a challenging year for us with the "Splatter Pattern" recording going on and losing Dan Steinlicht and then getting Les to come back.

Huge fuck yeahs to all the fans and friends who came out in support! We really appreciate it and we look forward to busting ass this winter so when we slam it again early 2010, we'll be lean, mean and more brutal than anyone can comprehend.

| DON'T FORGET ABOUT XXX! |
|
| Last year we started taking
some of the more "extreme" photos off the Brutality Report so that
others could enjoy following Low Twelve and Heavycore without having to
see that sort of stuff. So we starting doing the Brutality Report
XXX - for you more hardcore bastards (or bitches) out there. As you know, we've got lots of hot chicks on the Brutality Report XXX page. But, that's only for adults, so if that's not your thing, or you're not legal to check that sort of thing out, then don't go there. You must be 18 or older to see that sort of thing - so you've been warned. But if you are legal to see that stuff and wish to - then you can see hot chicks like Samantha (pictured right) and many more, doing some nasty things. So why not check out lots of free picture and movie galleries where you can see sexy teens getting naked and performing acts that only adults can see. We do a feature each week of one of the hottest young girls on the web - offering several galleries for you to check out. Some have movies on them too, so you can see much more than still shots. We also post several more galleries - featuring girls that do nasty things. We also have an archive of past galleries, so you could wind up with a disability claim from all the jerking you're about to do! So be careful and don't hurt yourselves . . . we need you in the trenches - being brutal as ever for the underground metal movement. So that gives you an idea of what's in store . . . lots of hot teen chicks doing nasty things. Need I say more? Just one last time - remember you must be 18 or older to see such things . . . so don't go there unless you're legal. Click on the link below if you want to check out Brutality Report XXX and don't come whining to us if your cock gets sore from all the jerking - or if you're a female and that nub gets worn down. Enjoy the perversion! Happy jerkin'! |
