So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . I'm continuing my brutal rampage as posers weep in my presence. It's pathetic to see them beg me to stop, but of course I cannot. I am compelled to spread my propaganda, no matter how badly it upsets the weaker set who feel compelled to watch videos on Headbanger's Ball and wish they could be so cool.
This week has been typical - we continued working on the last couple of songs we need to record for the coming "Splatter Pattern" CD. This week we concentrated on the instrumental that Wes brought to the table called "Fire For Effect". It's bad ass! I'll give you all the Low Twelve recording updates and what's coming next on the recording of "Splatter Pattern". In addition, I've been busy doing some Heavycore interviews this past week - one was an email interview with guitarist Joe Haley of Pscycroptic and the other was an audio interview with Rob Thorne of Sacred Oath. The interview Rob and I did together actually made it to Blabbermouth and also on national news in the US Today online if you can believe that! Word gets around when you're a brutal mother fucker I guess. Also, I'm going to be going to the Kreator/Exodus show at the House of Blues in Chicago on April 17th with my son Joe and we're going to be guests of Nuclear Blast with press passes, a photo pass, and we'll also be doing an interview with Exodus backstage before the show! Hell yeah . . . that should be a fucking blast. All that plus more . . . and of course a nasty Skank of the Week and some ultra horny sluts in the Brutality Report XXX just for you.
You posers of the world can now turn off the computer and wish it all away. Try and remember a time, before I started ripping on you little pussies . . . and then wake up crudely to my steel-toed boot upside your womanly jaw bone.
Now get on with it.
| ISM MANIA . . . . |
|
| As you all
know, I've been having my usual fun with the "isms" and now the focus
has unfortunately turned to Dan. He actually came up with the one
you see to the right . . . Marilyn Danson. Now of course I did the
crude photoshop work there - but he came up with the "ism". I
can't look at this too long . . . it's a little disturbing! If you have not seen the "isms" on our myspace - check it out here. I've set up some new photo albums for this purpose and will do my best to keep it updated. Coming soon will be some Wesisms and Peteisms too. We're all going to get in on this shit. Of course nothing can come close to the hysteria the Meisterisms created . . . but it's good fun just the same. There's nothing like wasting hours of time coming up with this shit. It's fun though, try it at a party and you'll find yourself laughing like a moron . . . a very Low Twelve kinda thing to do! If you have any good ones . . . please send them in at contact@lowtwelve.com and maybe I'll wind up using one of yours. We have come up with a few more good Danisms . . . check it out: Dankin Danuts (you get double the
"points" when you use the name twice like that) Here's a good new one . . . this gets you major points using two different "isms" in one! Wesipetia (for wikipedia - using a Wesism and Peteism together) |
| HEAVYCORE INTERVIEWS Last week I mentioned that I was doing some interviews . . . well you can now check them out! The email interview with Joe Haley from Psycroptic was done through Charles at Nuclear Blast. Charles wanted me to do the interview at the show on 3/15 with Carcass . . . but the tour manager didn't know about it and things fell through. So we did it by email. You can check that one out here. The one I did with Rob Thorne (guitars/vocals) of Sacred Oath actually drew some major media attention. Check it out! I'm not sure if it was because the guy doing the interview (me) was an original founding member of the band now interviewing the other founding member? I really am not sure, but the cult-like Sacred Oath following is really incredible this many years later (22 to be exact) from our debut release "A Crystal Vision". The band is hugely popular in Europe and now with the new self titled CD coming in May and a pre-release special that Rob talks about in this audio interview on I-tunes is coming on April 7th. So check out the interview
and hear Rob and I talk about some old times as well as what is going on
with Sacred Oath today. I got a copy of the new CD is it's really
good stuff if you dig it old school. It's very different than Low
Twelve that's for sure - but it's really kick ass! This is the
first Sacred Oath CD that I have had nothing to do with at all - no
writing, no bass playing - nothing. So I don't feel weird about
telling you all about it and that sort of thing - because it's my honest
opinion. |

Rob Thorne - Sacred Oath |
My son Joe and I have been to a shitload of good metal shows. He's tagged along when I've had media passes before, and the last time I interviewed Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph of Exodus, it was backstage at the House of Blues and Joe was with me. So we're going to do it again when they come back to the House of Blues with the mighty Kreator. That's probably the favorite band of both my son and I - so we're fucking stoked! We've also got photo passes, so expect to see some killer up close shots from this show. It's Friday April 17th at the House of Blues in Chicago.
FORMER LOW TWELVE DRUMMER COMMENTS ON FIRST LOW TWELVE SHOW OF 2009
It was great to see former Low Twelve drummer, Steve Chestney, at the show last weekend at Show Me's in Bloomington IL. He sent me an email this week - with some comments about it, that I thought you would all enjoy:
What a scene! Low Twelve on the stage dishing it out like and assault rifle, bodies bashing into each other in the pit, and a fire truck, with lights blazing right behind the band. Beautiful chaos! You can't make this shit up.
Steve now plays guitar in a local rock band, Bad Halo. They've got a new CD that just came out and I told Steve that I'd give him a plug. So check out their website and listen for yourself.

HALLOWFEST V ANNOUNCED!
We just found out that Hallowfest V will be held this year at the Rossville VFW (Rossville Illinois) on Saturday October 31st. Show organizer and promoter Kruztea Ass Music called us the other day and invited Low Twelve to slam this great fest for the fifth time in a row! We've played every one and it's got to be one of the most anticipated shows for us. It's always a great time. This time they're going to do two stages, so the bands will be going constantly. Dan (Low Twelve) will be doing sound on the second stage and his other band, Zeroshift, will also be playing. I don't know all the bands playing, because the show was just announced, but with more than six months to go - I'm sure we'll pass on the details as they come. I just wanted to pass the word that the show is set for 2009! Hell yeah!
| SPLATTER PATTERN WORK
CONTINUES . . .
Wes recently recorded Meister playing some rough guitars to the click tracks and it turned out awesome. Then he went and put some rough drums on top of that and so we can now begin recording our guitar, bass, and vocals while Wes re-records his drums for real with engineer Nathan Kurtz. Sound confusing? Well - it is in a way. But having the click tracks done means that whatever is recorded to the click tracks will be in line with everything else recorded to it. The click track does not change - it is programmed to play a certain number of beats per minute and so if the person recording messes up, it will be obvious and can easily be fixed. We knew this was going to slow down things - but once the click tracks were done, the rest of the recording should be SO MUCH easier. We're pumped now because we will finally have a recording that sounds super professional. When you all hear this fucker - you're going to soil yourselves . . . Here are the songs completed and ready to record: Dying Room We have the instrumental, Fire For Effect, done but still needs to be worked on some. Wes had some kick ass drum beats already written and arranged, so we just put some riffs on top of it and played around yesterday at practice with it. In case you don't know, fire for effect is a term used in the military when "calling for fire". That means calling for artillery to come down on a position. Once they start walking the artillery closer to the target, you say "fire for effect" and that means dump whatever you have right there and obliterate the bastard(s). So this instrumental is a good grinder at times, as well as some chaotic parts tossed in . . . . it's very cool and we're sure you're going to dig it. The last song of the batch - the title track of the "Splatter Pattern" CD is one that Meister and I collaborated on a couple months ago. We recorded some good riffs and I've been working on some vocals. This is a strong tune and will be faster - along the lines of a Brutal World. Hell yeah! This CD will have 13 songs on it - one of the 13 will be an older song that we chose to re-record. We wanted to bridge the gap of the old Low Twelve with the new . . . and it's probably one of my favorite Low Twelve songs of all time. Especially live - it's just one hell of a brutal one! Soon enough we'll announce which one it is. As soon as the actual tracking begins again - I'll keep you all posted with pics and video of it all. We're excited to put this CD out to show off the new songs and of course our two new axeslingers. Check out a couple pics we took yesterday at practice:

| DON'T FORGET ABOUT XXX! |
|
| Last year we started taking
some of the more "extreme" photos off the Brutality Report so that
others could enjoy following Low Twelve and Heavycore without having to
see that sort of stuff. So we starting doing the Brutality Report
XXX - for you more hardcore bastards (or bitches) out there. As you know, we've got lots of hot chicks on the Brutality Report XXX page. But, that's only for adults, so if that's not your thing, or you're not legal to check that sort of thing out, then don't go there. You must be 18 or older to see that sort of thing - so you've been warned. But if you are legal to see that stuff and wish to - then you can see hot chicks like Mandy (pictured right) and many more, doing some nasty things. So why not check out lots of free picture and movie galleries where you can see sexy teens getting naked and performing acts that only adults can see. We do a feature each week of one of the hottest young girls on the web - offering several galleries for you to check out. Some have movies on them too, so you can see much more than still shots. We also post several more galleries - featuring girls that do nasty things. We also have an archive of past galleries, so you could wind up with a disability claim from all the jerking you're about to do! So be careful and don't hurt yourselves . . . we need you in the trenches - being brutal as ever for the underground metal movement. So that gives you an idea of what's in store . . . lots of hot teen chicks doing nasty things. Need I say more? Just one last time - remember you must be 18 or older to see such things . . . so don't go there unless you're legal. Click on the link below if you want to check out Brutality Report XXX and don't come whining to us if your cock gets sore from all the jerking - or if you're a female and that nub gets worn down. Enjoy the perversion! Happy jerkin'! |
