So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . it's great to be back after a week off from the Brutality Report. I had a lot of work to catch up on last week, and some personal shit to deal with that meant I couldn't get the report done. Plus - coming off a brutal double header weekend with TONS of hot pics the week before, meant a little breather was in order and so I appreciate your understanding. I did get a couple emails from fans who were wanting to read the brutal goings-on for the week, but I assured them that I would fill them in this week for sure.
Huge FUCK YEAHS to all veterans this week - as Veteran's Day was November 11th. I was at the Peoria VA on Monday, and it was good to see some of the older vets to keep things in perspective. I even ran into Doc Hock - who was at the Ia Drang battle in Vietnam that inspired the book/movie "We Were Soldiers". I was blown away, he was at a routine appointment like me and it was humbling to hear him talk about that battle like it was yesterday. So I hope you all took the time out to think about the sacrifice that veterans have made for you . . . I know I think about them a lot and read a number of books about that subject matter, and love watching History channel specials about it.
We've been busting ass working on another new song, "Hand of the Dying" and it's coming out great so far. We had a good couple weeks of practice since the last report and I've got some pics from this week to show you. Plus all the latest on what Low Twelve is doing and what is going on with the song writing for the upcoming full length CD "Splatter Pattern". It's completely wicked to say the least. In addition, I've got updates on the Heavycore "United in Metal" DVD, another replay of the November Chopping Block show hosted by me, Wes, and Dan, a preview of our very nasty final show of the year coming up this weekend in Champaign with some Heavycore brothers, and of course some hot skanks in the Brutality Report XXX plus one horrid bitch in the Skank of the Week. So don't miss any of it - not one drop you fuckers.

I've been working on the Heavycore "United in Metal" DVD quite a bit lately, I tried to have the cover art done by today so I could show you . . . but I'm having a little Photoshop drama that is not letting me finish it. Once it's done - I'll show you and I'm sure you'll dig it. Aside from the artwork, I've been doing some recording of my vocals to go along with the "Jerk It!" commercial and it's fucking hilarious. It's actually me singing - not screaming. So fans of Low Twelve might get a big kick out of that . . . hearing me actually sing! Ha. So - why don't you check it out? Click here to hear the background music for the upcoming "Jerk It!" commercial. We did some filming of Dan - who is the Jerk It! Man in the commercial, and still have a little more to do to finish it up. I'm having a hard time finding time everyone can be available for the other commercial shoots - including myself. So I'm probably going to have to delay this DVD release until early 2009, so I can finish things up in December. It's just a bitch with everyone being busy in personal schedules and like I said, that includes me too. My son is going to be in one of the Poser Disposal commercials and he works Sat and Sunday each week. So that's a problem - with it getting dark so early. But we'll get it done and you'll enjoy it. The live videos of the bands are great and I'm sure you'll love the "mosh pit cam" I had going on as the bands tore it up at Poser Roast 23 in August. The Low Twelve live videos for "Begging to Die" and "Bodies in My Pocket" were brutal as hell and will be included on this bludgeoning DVD. |

one! Saturday November 22nd We'll be headlining this one and playing a full hour-long set - so don't miss it you fuckers. I'll be throwing out tampons to the weak fuckers and throwing down with the rest, so make sure you get to this show. It's our last one before 2009, so come out and support the cause. We'll be entering the studio this winter and will likely not do any shows until March or early April 2009. By the time you see us next year - we'll have several new songs written and in the lineup, and will have some other older songs learned to add to the live brutalization. |
| STUPID PRACTICE SHIT We had a great couple weeks of practice as we've continued to work on the new material in preparation for the studio. We are currently writing the latest song, "Hand of the Dying" and it's turning out wicked so far. I think you'll dig this one. It's about a Marine who is injured badly and comes into a field hospital (like MASH). Meister and I will be sharing the vocal duties with this one and he's going to sing the part of the Marine who's dying, and I'm the doctor that's trying to save him. It's an epic struggle of life and death on the operating table and will be something Low Twelve has never done before. With Meister in the lineup, we've got a great dominating co-lead vocal to me and it's awesome. Even Dan has been doing some killer backing vocals to add a lot of depth to some of the songs that I intended to be more "gang vocal" style. Fuck yeah. "Hand of the Dying" was inspired by the story of Corporal Jason Dunham USMC, who died in Iraq by falling on a grenade to save his buddies. Corporal Dunham received the Medal of Honor - the highest award possible for the military, posthumously. Do a google search for him and you'll be blown away at what an amazing person he was. I read a book called "Gift of Valor" about him, while researching for the lyrics and I highly recommend it! Especially with this week - with Tuesday being Veteran's Day . . . it's a good time to read something like that! We still have two more songs to write after this one, so we're going to use Thanksgiving week to really push this into overdrive. Meister and I will get together that week to write the title track "Splatter Pattern" which will be about a fictitious serial killer I came up with, and the song "Heroes Last Stand" about Rick Rescorla - the man who predicted 9/11 that I wrote about in the Brutality Report recently. Both songs are going to be strong, and I wanted to have input from Dan and Meister individually, so they would both have a vested interest in the new CD coming out. Wes even wanted to get in on the action, so he and I will also get together by ourselves - to write an instrumental to go on the new CD. I've always wanted to call an instrumental "Fire For Effect" - which is the radio terminology in the Army when calling in artillery that they've hit the target and unleash a shitload more to obliterate it. Fuck yeah - so you'll be getting one hell of a slap with this new one. We're even planning to re-record one of the old songs and have it as a bonus track . . . details coming soon.
