So what in my brutal CD player this week? |
|
|
| 1. Testament - The Formation of Damnation (brutal new thrash from Bay Area gods) | |||
| 2. Arsis - We Are the Nightmare (completely wicked technical death metal) | |||
| 3. Kataklysm - Prevail (intense new death metal from Canada) | |||
So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . it's nice to be back in the brutal saddle and in a new Command Center! I'm still in the middle of unpacking boxes, but the shell is set up and as you can see I'm spouting brutal propaganda once again! Huge fuck yeahs to all who helped out with the move - and you'll see pics of that later in the report.
Aside from all that going on, this past week we saw the seventh anniversary of 9/11 and hopefully you all gave that some serious thought. I watched a couple of great specials on the History channel about 9/11 and I'll share some of that with you. We also had to cancel our show on Saturday 9/27 in Chicago, but we'll explain that later. So the 250th show will now be at the Phoenix in Champaign on Halloween night. It should be a great show! All that plus the usual barrage of brutalness, so bask in the waters of nastiness and prepare for the weekly beating my friends.
Of course all the poser fags out there are sporting some of mom's make-up and being the usual bitches that they are, while real metal freaks forge the fuck on and laugh in their face. It must be getting old for these weak pukes . . . allow me to piss in your cereal once again as I spout tales of brutalness.
Now get on with it.
| A REAL 9/11 HERO |
|
| I know each of us has a
different way of showing how they feel - but each year on 9/11 I really
do what I can to absorb myself into the harsh memories of that horrible
day. This year, I was in a hotel room in southern Illinois for my
"day job" and got to watch a couple really inspiring specials on the
History channel. One of them was about a person I've mentioned in
the Brutality Report before - Rick Rescorla. If you don't know of
him - then you should check out the link below to part of a special
called "The Man Who Predicted 9/11". It was a great one hour
special on Rick Rescorla - who was a security expert that worked in the
World Trade Center. He was previously in the US Army and for those
who saw "We Were Soldiers" - Rick was part of the US forces who
persevered that wicked battle in the Ia Drang Valley of Vietnam.
His picture is actually on the cover of the book that inspired the movie
- due to his amazing heroic deeds that saved countless lives. Well - so many years later, Rick was summoned to save thousands of lives on 9/11. If you watch the 10 minute video link below, you'll see how he actually predicted the 1993 bombing of the WTC and then in 1998, was on camera talking about how the terrorists were going to use planes to take the WTC down. He couldn't have been more right! Sadly, Rick died in the WTC while he made sure all the 3,000 employees of his company got out. Only six (including Rick) died that day. He was (and still is) a true American hero. Please take a minute to watch the video and check out the website done in tribute to his amazing life and heroism. |
| CANCER FREE SEVEN YEARS AND COUNTING |
|
|
9/11 really hits home with me each year, because on the actual 9/11/01 I got a call from my oncologist that my cancer was gone - in remission! WOW - it was great news, but on one of the worst days I could have imagined. It was a strange day to say the least, while my eyes were glued to the horror unfolding on my tv, I was elated that my cancer fight was over. Here I look back at the last seven years, and wonder what a gift I've had to have beaten cancer and lived to tell the tale. I'm grateful for what I've got and have never forgotten what a horrible summer I had that year, fighting to stay alive and not knowing how it would end up. I went to follow up appointments, had more CT scans and bloodwork and after five years - the doctors said I was in the clear and didn't need the follow ups any more. I posted a bulletin on 9/11 about it being my seven year anniversary of beating cancer and I was overwhelmed at the great response from friends, fans, and family. Thanks so much to all of you who sent in message about that. It meant a lot. That was one of the ways I beat cancer in the first place - was all the nice emails and shit that came in while I was doing chemo and fighting hard. So thanks! If anyone would like to send me a message - my email is pete@lowtwelve.com |

| CHICAGO SHOW CANCELED We had to cancel playing the show on Saturday September 27th at the Red Line Tap in Chicago. We do apologize to all our Chicago fans for having to do this, but there were a lot of reasons why we could not do that show. Please support the Rotting Corpse Records bands by checking out the show anyway. I'm sure it will be kick ass. For details on the show go to www.RottingCorpseRecords.com Due to this cancelation, our 250th show will now be on Friday October 31st at the Phoenix in Champaign Illinois. See the details below. |
| COMMAND CENTER MOVE COMPLETE |
|
| Thanks to the help of many
friends - the moving of the Low Twelve Command Center went very well.
Huge fuck yeahs to Big Mike (and friend), Wes, Michelle, Meister, Dan,
Kendall, Doug (and daughter), Theresa, and Crazy Mike. You guys
were the shit and we really appreciated it. It took us 3
trips in a large box truck, but we made the 8-mile trip south to
Heyworth Illinois with all my family belongings! It kicked my ass
big time, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one nursing a back with a heat
pad and ibuprofen. I'm getting to old for that bullshit - ha. I will have some pics of the new Command Center once I get things all situated. It's nice to have some room for once and lots of storage for cds, dvds, and that type of thing. I even will have a vocal booth in my office for laying down the brutal vocal tracks. So I'm pumped to give that one a try. I plan on doing a couple Killer Karaoke songs to test things out and work out the kinks. We got internet and cable hooked up on Monday this week - so things are falling together nicely. I will show you all in good time - so hang in there. |
Here are a couple other pics we took during the move . . . I wish I would have taken more, but we were so damn busy that day - I really was pre-occupied with all the shit going on!

Thanks again to all who helped - you guys are the SHIT!

This was taken today - Mike "Sexy Bearded Handy Man"
Stoltz came by the new house and did some carpentry - here he is letting my son
Joe help
We're still trying to sell our old mobile home - so anyone interested . . . pete@lowtwelve.com
It is in Bloomington Illinois -
only asking $2,000 - it does need work, but is a livable home that we enjoyed
for 12 years!
3 bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, storage shed, real wood
fireplace, 2-year old furnace, washer-dryer hook up, oven stays
| STUPID PRACTICE SHIT We had a great week at practice as we started working on "Not Forgotten" - the only song of the new material that we had not gotten to with Dan and Meister. It is a tricky one to learn and so things were done in steps, but they caught on quickly and once that one is complete - it will be on to finishing writing the last three songs for the upcoming "Splatter Pattern" CD. We also have a couple of the older songs in the works to bust out at the 250th show - so prepare to hear more stuff that you haven't heard in a while. It's going to be brutal as hell. Check out some pics we took this week while we took a break outside at Wes' place.

| DON'T FORGET ABOUT XXX! |
|
| As you know, we've got lots
of hot chicks on the Brutality Report XXX page. But, that's only
for adults, so if that's not your thing, or you're not legal to check
that sort of thing out, then don't go there. But if you are - then you can see hot chicks like Erin (pictured right) and many more, doing some nasty things. So why not check out lots of free picture and movie galleries where you can see sexy teens getting naked and performing acts that only adults can see. So click on the link below if you want to check out Brutality Report XXX and don't come whining to us if your cock gets sore from all the jerking - or if you're a female and that nub gets worn down. Enjoy the perversion! Happy jerkin'! |
