IN THIS WEEK'S ISSUE:
► Les Aldridge Leaves Low Twelve!

► Poser Roast 23 Announced

► Brutality Report XXX Launched

► Paulie's Titty Shot Revisited

So what in my brutal CD player this week?

1.  Testament - The Ritual (absolutely psyched to see them in May)
2.  Testament - Live in London (did I say I was psyched to see Testament in May?)
3.  Testament - Souls of Black (yeah - you know it)

So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . but this time with some shocking news!  Yes, it's true - our guitarist of ten long years of service, Les Aldridge has decided to leave the band.  It's tough to see Les go, but he's got some personal reasons for that and I'll explain things the best I can later on in the report.  Of course we were not expecting this - so apologies to all our fans for having to cancel the shows we had booked!

Despite getting some shocking news like that - Wes and I have met to discuss what the future will be for Low Twelve.  We've got a lot of things to tell you, and some pics of the "re-birth" as you will soon see.  In addition to all that, I'm launching a new page today called Brutality Report XXX for all the sick, twisted, and perverted fans out there who want to see some smut each week.  So check it out for sure and make sure you've got a towel nearby to clean up when you're done!  Also, one of the titty shots from the Paulie's show has received A LOT of praise and the girl in the pic was ok with us showing her face.  So I thought I'd bring it back with the complete pic for you all - so enjoy that.  All that plus much more in this week's wicked Brutality Report.

So now it's time for the posers of this planet to think they can ease up a bit . . . now that Low Twelve is down for a while.  That's just what we want them to think.  Because while they're sitting home, jerking off to Korn videos on Headbanger's Ball - we'll be plotting, practicing, and preparing for Armageddon over at Wes' place while the new lineup gears up to get back on stage again and get to recording a brand new CD for you.  So you poser fags out there - prepare for your own extermination here in short order.

Now get on with it.

BRUTALITY REPORT XXX LAUNCHES

Wes and I met recently about all the developments going on with the band and one of the things discussed was all the porn that I had been posting.  We still want it there, because the Twelve Heads sure love it - but we wanted to make it a little harder to get to for underage fans who read the reports too.  In addition, I do know of a few metal media types that said they're afraid to open the Brutality Report at work because of that.

So I've now launched a hot new page called Brutality Report XXX and it will be updated at the same time as the regular Brutality Report.  There will be a link to it posted here, so you don't have worry about having to find it - I'll make it easy and use the banner to the right that you can click on to check things out.

As you can imagine - now that it's on it's on page - the smut will be even raunchier!  So have no fear!  We'll still put the titty shots from Crazy Mike here, but anything beyond that will go on the new XXX page.  There's no reason to turn the Brutality Report into a G-rated page - because it's always been . . . . brutal.  But we just want to move the porn gallery links and the raunchy sex talk column over to the new XXX page.  I think you'll dig it.  Make sure you click on the banner above to check it out.  I'd love your feedback too - pete@lowtwelve.com and let me know what you think.

We're going to have lots more galleries on the page with links to all the pages where the hot little sluts reside - so you'll be whacking it for hours courtesy of the Brutality Report.  Enjoy and watch out for carpel tunnel syndrome!

LES ALDRIDGE LEAVES LOW TWELVE

With no warning . . . Les called us on Friday February 29th and told us that he had to leave the band.  It was a shock as you can imagine, since Les had been with the band since December 1998.  It was a tough decision for him to make.  I'm not really going to detail what his reasons were, because it's personal.  But to avoid rumors, I'll tell you what I feel I can.  Les felt he needed to get a second job to help pay for some big expenses he had coming, and due to that - he knew he wouldn't be able to play with us anymore.  He's going to be working two full time jobs for the next year or so, and that would obviously make it impossible for him to play.

Les said after that year - he will consider playing again and for his sake - I hope he does.  Les is a great guitar player and a strong person - so we hope he finds a way to keep music in his life.  He was (and still is) a great friend to us and after ten years of being together, it's tough to see him leave for sure.

Wes and I met and had a good heart-to-heart talk about the future.  We knew that the both of us were not ready to pack things in just yet.  We were in the middle of writing new tunes for the next CD and we really want to see that stuff recorded and released.  We also decided that we would go back to the two-guitar attack that the band featured originally, but discarded after Tim left in 2001.  There are several people on the "short list" and we've started contacting some of them, and one in particular has gone beyond just talking.  Read the report next week to find out who that person is . . . but it is exciting to have options this soon after Les left us.

Wes and his girlfriend Michelle have bought a house in Bloomington and so fortunately this does not leave us without a practice spot.  We'll be jamming in their basement and so far - things are working out.  We practiced for a bit on Thursday night to try it out and today is actually the first full official practice at Wes' new place.

We did have to cancel all the shows we had scheduled, because we really don't know how long this is going to sideline us.  It really sucked to cancel out on the upcoming Columbia Missouri show on March 29th.  But, to make it up to the Columbia fans and our brothers in Slugtrail and 3 Headed Moses - Wes and I are making the trip anyway to go to the show, hang out and party with the bands after the show.  We're looking forward to what was always a fun time down in Missouri!  There were several other good shows booked too - and we hate to have to cancel any of them.  I hope you fuckers understand!

Wes and I are sure that two new guitar players will impact the sound and that's what we're hoping for!  We want the sound to evolve and hopefully change for the better.  Nothing of course against Les . . . but we wouldn't waste our time continuing the band if we thought it was going to sound worse with the new lineup.  We are going to push and make it better than ever.  The new guitar players will have the opportunity to write for the new CD as we teach them the songs that are already written.  They'll be able to put their own flair on the songs and make suggestions on arrangements.  There are three songs not written yet, so they'll really be able to make an impact on those.  As for the older songs - we've got several on a list that we plan to play out - songs like "Lines Drawn", "Crawlspace", "Within Lies" and even some others that I think you'll enjoy hearing for the first time in a LONG time.

When will we be ready to unveil the new band?  Well . . . as things develop you'll hear them here first.  We are still looking - so if anyone is serious about playing and wants to contact me about it - send me an email to pete@lowtwelve.com but at this point, we're calling people we already know and looking for new players that way rather than open try outs.  We'll have to just see how things go . . . it's only been nine days since Les has been gone.

We met for lunch with Les and Crazy Mike yesterday at Show-Me's in downtown Bloomington Illinois.  We thought it would be cool to spend the $100 gift certificate we won at the Battle of the Bands in October last year . . . with the lineup that won it.  So it was a nice time to chill and talk about the good times.  It's cool that we're still friends with Les and there is no bad blood here.  After ten long years of service - Les will be thought of positively always.

Once again . . . sorry to see you go Les!  We wish you only the best for the future.  As for the future of Low Twelve - here's to ten more years of brutality, as things will develop quickly in the next few months and Wes and I continue to forge the fuck on . . . showing that overcoming adversity and Low Twelve are one in the same!

POSER ROAST 23 ANNOUNCED

Just because Low Twelve isn't going to be doing shows for a while . . . doesn't mean I can't set some shows up myself and keep the Heavycore flame alive and well.  So I decided to book a two-night show at Paulie's in downtown Bloomington on Friday August 1st and Saturday August 2nd with at least six bands total and make it Poser Roast 23.  Fuck yeah!

I don't have all the bands lined up - but mark this one down on your calendars.  I'll be trying to get some cool shit going on at this show and will be announcing stuff after I go over things with Jeff at the bar.

ONE MORE TIME  . . .

We got such a huge response from Crazy Mike's work at the last show at Paulie's in February that we couldn't believe it.  Now - he did take some sweet shots!  If you missed it - I featured them all in the 2008-448 report.  He got some real nasty stuff.

Well - one of the girls featured in the report just seemed to drive our readers wild and they were begging to see what her face looked like.  Well - the girl in the pic was so flattered that so many fans loved her pic, that she told me it was ok to show it.  Her name is Stevie . . . and for you guys out there who are now jerking it in overdrive - you can really see why.  She's a doll!
