So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . I know it's hard for you to take a week off the weekly abuse. I can't say I blame you really, because I enjoy dishing it out so much that I can't even imagine not doing these reports. So let's continue to enjoy the debauchery for a while longer . . . as my brutal propaganda continues to flow without mercy upon the weak.
We've been busy in Low Twelve working on new material as you all know and things are going very well. I'm excited about the new song we're working on called "Bodies in My Pocket" and that we have "Mountains of the Dead" completed and added to the "done" pile of songs that we plan to release as a brand new full length CD "Blackened Spiral Down". More on that later . . . I'm also posting the link to the December Chopping Block Show for you all again so you can be sure to check it out. I've been getting more compliments on this show than any other - so thanks to those who have checked it out already. In addition, I did an email interview with the guitar master of Exodus, Gary Holt - and I've got a tease for you before I post it to the Heavycore site. All that plus much more and of course the usual parade of vagina that graces these Brutality Reports . . . so brace yourselves for a cock-jerking extravaganza (or pussy rubbing if that applies).
So you posers out there . . . this must be getting old to come here every week and feel complete emasculated before the entire world while the rest of us watch on and laugh at your lame ass. At least your woman knows she's got more than enough cock to go around in your absence - so why don't you just go ahead and throw your gay ass in front of a bus?

| My son Joe and I went to
check out Exodus in 2006 at the House of Blues and it was a great time.
I got to do an interview with Gary Holt (guitar) and Paul Bostaph
(drums) backstage before the show. Well, recently Nuclear Blast
sent out interview requests for Gary Holt and I thought it would be cool
to check in with the axe-slinger and see what was up with Exodus.
Since I last met him, they have a new CD out, replaced Paul Bostaph with
original drummer Tom Hunting, and are gearing up for touring the globe.
I'll be posting the entire interview on the Heavycore site, but for now, check out a few questions that Gary took the time to answer for me: Pete: What made the band decide to break out of the typical Exodus song length on the new CD? Gary: Nothing really, it was all an organic process. We never timed anything. We knew some of them were quite long, but it wasn't until we recorded them that we saw the actual times. We just wanted to make the best record we could and we didn't put any limitations on ourselves. Pete: What is your top metal CD of 2007? Gary: I have heard so little because of the time spent doing Exodus. Shit, I've only heard one song off of the new Machine Head, and that was on Sirius radio! And live as well. But it was super sick. But the new Arch Enemy is rad. Michael is the best guitarist in metal IMO. And the new Nile is bad ass, as is the new Fintroll. | We have been hard at work
with new songs as you all know . . . and so far things are going great.
Here's the status of the new material . . . these are the songs that are
completed, recorded and ready to go:
Dying Room Adding to the completed songs, but not yet recorded is Mountains of the Dead. That was one we just got done and now we're working on Bodies in My Pocket. That will make seven songs down with only three to go for our goal of having ten new songs on the next CD - Blackened Spiral Down. So we're busting ass and doing what we can to get them done, while still keeping the high quality that we expect from each new song. |
I'm incredibly excited about the new stuff because we continue to push each other to the limits and want each song to be better than the last. I always try and stay at least one song ahead on the band for ideas and basic structure, lyrics, and that sort of thing. The new one I am working on is called Scourge. I have several ideas to write about but only two more songs to write - so I'm going to get selective and try and come up with something that blows you all away!
So keep your ears open for new Low Twelve in 2008! We hope to have these new songs done by spring and then it's off to recording the new five to add to the five already done and ready. It's a long process . . . but the end result will be beyond brutal!
