So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . as you should be each and every week. This week I'm spinning more brutal propaganda as Low Twelve comes off a weekend with a wicked double header at Show-Me's in downtown Bloomington Illinois. It was a great weekend of metal mayhem, and plenty of knock-down drag-out fights in the pit that we thought we were in Pontiac for a while! All that plus TONS of great pics of the show, plus HOT pics of the sizzling Show-Me's girls in their little outfits. Wait until you fuckers see this shit . . .
All that plus updates on Low Twelve preparation for the big Gwar show coming up, plus the killer 3rd annual Hallowfest show in Wellington Illinois in the same week. We're stoked to tear it up brutally twice in the same week just like this one! Plus I'm gearing up for the November edition of the Heavycore Chopping Block Show . . . also Metal Blade is asking me and my son Joe to cover the Amon Amarth/Decapitated show in December at the House of Blues in Chicago! I've also been asked to provide some answers to questions going in the Christmas edition of Metal Maniacs - Seasons Beatings. Fuck yeah. All that plus plenty of hot babes to make you want to just whip that shit out and blow some of that spunk on your dresser . . . shit maybe you'll even spooge on your alarm clock!
So what the fuck are you waiting for? All this brutality must not go untold . . . so dig in and prepare once again for the ass-whipping of a lifetime. Any of you pussies out there who feel compelled to read of the many exploits of a real metal band, must feel flaccid and useless right about now. Well - you should because you are useless and we'll do just find fucking on your women.

CALLING As most of you know, I've been on the comp list for Metal Maniacs for the past couple of years. That means they send me an advance copy of each issue that comes out, on the house, since they consider me an important part of the metal media. I'm honored by that and I thank editress Liz all the time because she is one cool metal freak who I've known for years. Her husband Dave is also a writer for the zine and together, they stomp lots of poser ass! This year in their special year-end/Christmas issue they'll be doing some questions that they've asked us all to respond to - some are like what do you want for Christmas and shit like that . . . and of course I'll be sure to make mine humorous and warped like you would expect! | TEARING UP SHOW-ME'S THE BRUTAL WAY |

| We got offered to
participate in the Show-Me's Battle of the Bands and honestly didn't
know how things would shake out. I've been involved with battles
like this and they always seem to be fixed, fucked up, or both. So
- we just looked at the chance to play a local show at a new place . . .
and tune up for the upcoming Gwar show on 10/24. We had a fucking blast playing at Show-Me's! This place kicks ass - it's a sports bar by day and for this past weekend - a metal bar after hours. The girls dress up in Hooters-like uniforms and are smoking hot . . . so the guys (and some girls too) were loving it big time. They serve kick ass food too - like wings, burgers, and a variety of salads and seafood too! It's not just like bar food - and they've got some killer drink specials too. Huge fuck yeahs to Chops for setting the show up and the staff at Show-Me's for being so good to us the two nights we tore the place to shreds. We made it into the top 3 on Friday night, but there was a tie for 3rd so four bands moved to the finals on Saturday. They used crowd reactions at the end of the second night to judge who won and by a slim margin - Slavereign Nation took the honors! We were glad for them because they're a young band who have really come around. They played awesome! So fuck yeahs to them! We came in second place and gladly took a nice gift certificate to eat/drink at Show-Me's and a cool Nascar plaque that Les will hang up in the V-12. |
The first night we played for 45-minutes and last night we did one hour. We played a mix of old and new stuff . . . and last night we really stomped ass and closed it out with a rarely done song live - "Thin Skinned". It was kick ass. The crowd reactions were great . . . lots of fist banging and shit like that. The first night dudes were trying to mosh and security got brutal on them . . . we witnessed plenty of flying fits, rolling around on the floor, and cops-o-plenty outside dealing with the madness of downtown Bloomington on a Friday/Saturday night. WOW.

The show was a HUGE success and they said they had never been that busy before. So we're going to be doing shows there more often! I'm going to talk with Chops in the next week or two to set some dates. We're also looking to do an IBC show in Bloomington sometime soon. So that's very cool.
