IN THIS WEEK'S ISSUE:
► Poser Roast 22 Burns Down the House

► New Column - Before They Were Brutal

► Pete Six Years Cancer Free

► Hot Next Door Nikki galleries and much more

So what in my brutal CD player this week?

1.  One Man Army & The Undead Quartet - Error In Evolution (great Swedish thrash metal)
2.  Nuclear Blast All Stars - Out of the Dark (kick ass compilation of musicians)
3.  Kreator - Enemy of God (what a killer thrash CD)

So good to see you back in brutality once again my friends . . . it's been a typical crazy week here at the Low Twelve Command Center, as I've been busting ass behind the scenes doing lots of the necessary upkeep and promotion end of Low Twelve and Heavycore.  But it's been good to dust out the inboxes and get things caught up again like they should be.

We had a great time last night at Poser Roast 22 at Chief's in Champaign Illinois.  Crazy Mike got tons of great pics, including a couple of nice titty shots for you perverted fuckers out there reading along.  We also have a feature on the upcoming 9/11 anniversary, which ironically also marks my cancer free anniversary.  It's amazing to think that was six years ago that I got the word, so I'll discuss that in greater depth.  Plus we have some new lyrics for you to check out, a new column that you might dig called "Before They Were Brutal".  It's a good one this week with a special Pontiac-metal freak in the spotlight!  All that and oh so much more you metal maniacs . . .

So what the fuck are you waiting for?  It's time to dig in and get nasty once again my brutal friends.  Of course any of the weak and sissified that can't handle such manly pursuits - should resort to trying on Mommy's clothes in the closet while the rest of us get fucking nuts.

Now get on with it.

REMEMBERING THE DAY WE WERE ATTACKED!

I really do try and stay out of politics here in the Brutality Report.  Politics is a very high charged, and sometimes very polarizing thing to discuss and so amongst friends, it's sometimes better to "not even go there".  So I will do my best here as well.

Take a minute this coming Tuesday - September 11, 2007 to remember those that were ripped from their lives so abruptly during the cowardly terrorist attacks in New York, Washington DC and Shanksville Pennsylvania.  Try to even imagine that you found out you were going to die like they did . . . in an instant without much time to do anything but freak the fuck out!

Remember also that brave men and women are fighting in the streets of Baghdad and beyond to keep our asses safe over here.  Whatever you believe politically - you cannot overlook the fact that we were attacked in a horrific fashion on 9/11.  Of course there will always be those who want to think the government had something to do with it, and I will not even give credulity to such insane ramblings as that.

Remember also that those terrorist fucks tried to stop the economic machine of this great country on 9/11 - so in defiance to them, work as you always would and use this anniversary to only burn that memory in your mind about what they did to thousands of innocent people on September 11, 2001.

In case you haven't seen our video for "Defiance to the End" - check it out below.  It's a song dedicated to the WTC jumpers on 9/11/01.  This was done entirely by the members of Low Twelve.  I wrote, directed and edited the video - but it was a great group effort in putting it all together, including lights from Les Aldridge!

NEW LOW TWELVE LYRICS

This week I spent some time working on lyrics for the next song we'll be working on called "Bodies in My Pocket".  As some of you may remember, this is one about a Marine sniper who comes home from the war in Iraq confused and troubled by what he has seen.  He finds it cleansing to show pictures of his victims to people back home who ask about what he did in the war.  This is based on a true story that I learned about this past spring and was compelled to write about it!

Check out some of the lyrics, still in progress . . . but you'll get the idea.  More to follow in an upcoming Brutality Report.

Bodies in My Pocket
lyrics by Pete Altieri

Now I’ve come home, to a place that I thought I knew
Leaving behind those memories from the sand
Now I’ve come home, to people I thought I knew
Familiar faces have somehow gone askew

Things that I’ve seen, things that I’ve done
The blood on my hands won’t ever wash away
Telling my tale seems to ease my troubled mind
Takes me to a time that I wish I could go

Pictures tell the tale, faces frozen on a page
Victims that I’ve taken from this forsaken place
A pile of the dead, rotting only in my head
A shiver up my spine for each one that I see

Staring into hollow eyes, eternal emptiness
One pull of my trigger turned their lights out
One single shot, one single kill
One more victim to end up on my list

Chorus

Lend me your ear as I shed this darkness from my soul
It’s a tale that most men would never know
What you hear you must keep close to your chest
Let me tell you about the bodies in my pocket

Mike Shawback - Before He Was Brutal

BEFORE THEY WERE BRUTAL

We've got a new column for you that I plan on running as often as possible - depending on you fuckers and what my warped mind can come up with.  I thought it would be funny to do a side-by-side of metal freaks when they were young and "innocent" compared to what they look like now!  Sound like fun?  Well, I'm starting things off with probably one of my personal favorite contrast shots like this.  Check out the side-by-side of metal freak (Pontiac born and raised if that tells you anything) - Mike Shawback.  This is just insane!

Check out the hair on that fucker!  You gotta love that shit.  If you freaks or freakettes have a couple pics like this you'd like me to feature - go ahead and send them in to me at contact@lowtwelve.com and with it give me your name, town/'city/country if outside US and a little about yourself now and then.  If you have to snail mail it in - Low Twelve, PO Box 4324, Bloomington IL  61702.  I'll feature it here if I dig it.

Be on the lookout for pics of the members of Low Twelve too - we're not beyond the reach of the "Before They Were Brutal" column!

So you want to try something new in the bedroom?  Here's one that would involve one you guys and two hot chicks?  Sounds like fun huh?  Well - check out TEA FOR TWO!

The act of taking two horny English "birds" and, as they prepare for an innocent lesbian encounter, interrupting with a delivery of a steaming scrotal treat by hovering over them and dropping a sack into each mouth. This can also be accomplished by dropping both "bags" into each of the victim's mouths independently.

Wow, if you can pull this one off - you need to send us a pic at contact@lowtwelve.com - especially if you manage to tea bag two at a time with a nut in each mouth.

THOSE HOT SLUTS NEXT DOOR

So you fuckers love to see chicks getting naked?  Well, you've cum to the right place.  In this column each week we feature a different hot chick, although Next Door Nikki seems to dominate our reports each week.  She's hot as hell and it's no wonder her webmaster sends her galleries to us nearly every week!

While you're checking out these galleries, feel free to take the site visits.  They're usually free and you can see more than just a few pics.  Some of them feature videos and more.  If you join up as a member, you get to see all the galleries and some of them include some seriously wicked stuff!  Often times you can chat with the girls and mail in stuff for them to wear for future photo shoots.  How about that?

Check out these galleries we're featuring this week and don't worry about it.  I won't tell on you.  Promise!  Just don't blame us if you get in trouble at home or school . . . or like one poor Twelve Head - he got fired from work for looking at porn.  Use some fucking common sense . . . grab that box of tissues and get to spankin!

CANCER FREE SIX YEARS RUNNING

With the anniversary of 9/11 comes also my anniversary of being cancer free.  It is really an odd match - but that's the way it happened.  I try not to think about cancer too much any more.  When I was dealing with it in the summer of 2001 - it was all I thought about.  There were times I went to bed and wondered how many more times I would have the chance to wake up again.  I don't mean to sound melodramatic here my brutal friends, but I was given 50-50 odds of survival.  So it was a fucked up few months as you can only imagine.

The chemo wasn't too bad at first, but as the weeks wore on - so did my body.  I did a 5-day regimen that started at noon and went until 5pm or so.  This week was then followed with two weeks off - which actually were worse because the chemo drugs wreak havoc with your body when you're not on the IV and getting all the anti-nausea medicines.  Maybe now things have improved - but it nearly killed me in the end.  In the final weeks of August 2001, I was dangerously low on white blood cells and they had to give me shots of what was then an experimental drug (procrit) that boosted my counts (at $600 per shot - 2 times a day).  Thankfully - I pulled through it and got better very slowly.

I did a follow up CT-Scan (cat scan) and got the news late morning on 9/11/01 that my cancer was in remission!  It was a shock - but right after the terrorist attacks, it sort of dulled the joy of being cancer free.  I don't really feel I ever got to truly celebrate that fact.  After 9/11 things changed for me in many ways, as I'm sure some of you too.  So things that might have been a big deal suddenly appear to be trivial.  Not to say beating cancer is trivial - I'm just saying that a culmination of things happened in my life at that time that changed me.

Of course Tim's suicide only five months later devastated me, and the other members of Low Twelve, for a very long time.  There were other personal issues too, and so with all this shit on my plate - the cancer free stuff didn't seem like something to dwell on.  But I do think about Dr. Sriratana and the INCREDIBLE nurses at the Cancer Center in Normal Illinois.  They saved my life and I can't thank them enough for that.  I was scared as hell that summer, and they made it tolerable.

Another thing that helped were you Twelve Heads who sent me words of encouragement.  You'll NEVER know how much that shit mean to me.  It was great to get all the emails, cards, letters, and all that.  You guys fucking rule.

So let's all celebrate this anniversary and live life to the fullest - with vigor and of course . . . BRUTALITY!

ROASTING POSERS ON AN OPEN FIRE

Low Twelve at Poser Roast 22

We stomped ass and took fucking names at Poser Roast 22.  It was a great time, despite some drama off and on during the night.  The turnout was kick ass - thanks to Joe from Heavy-Handed for promoting the shit out of the event.  He did an awesome job and I'm sure got help . . . so to all who participated in that we thank you.  I also plugged the shit out of it on myspace and through mass emails to fans.  So thanks to all who showed up in support - it was a big success!

Chief's had some major renovation and the stage is now closer to the door and there's a pretty good sized mosh pit area.  So it was set up nicely for bands.  Things got started around 9pm when Heavy-Handed hit the stage and stomped major ass and started the Roast off right.  They did their awesome version of "Baby Got Back" as their closer.  It was a huge crowd favorite!  I love those guys man.

After Heavy-Handed was Southview - and they continued the metal assault by playing a great set themselves.  It was cool to see Matt and the rest of the guys again.  They're a killer band to see!  Next up was Become the Beast and they also tore it up.  It's good to see Jody Ponder back in the game with a new lineup and of course some of his history with Ray Pennington playing guitar!  Butt Ugly went up next and put on a grungy, kinda Mentors-like set of their own brand of metal.  The final show for Skeptik went down too, and it was great to see these guys tear it up one final time.  I filmed their entire set so you might see that sometime down the road in video format online or maybe even in a DVD!  I haven't had a chance to check it out so I don't know how good it was.  But they played great and I hope it was captured.  I sang "Reborn" with them and so it was a fun night for sure.

We closed out the show and ripped through 30 minutes before the bar closed at 2am.  WOW - we pounded through what we now call our GWAR set.  We know we're only going to have 30 minutes at that show, so we've been working on a tight set that clocks in right at 30 minutes.  It worked well and of course we closed it out with "Crawlspace" as the faithful screamed along with me.  It was a lot of fun!

Here are the pics Crazy Mike took . . . enjoy!
